UN Global Compact: Plansee Group commits to sustainable business practices

The Ceratizit business area had already joined the UN Global Compact in September. Group membership also includes the Plansee High Performance Materials business area.

The UN Global Compact is an initiative of the United Nations. It requires companies to promote and implement ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, working conditions, environmental protection and anti-corruption.

"With this step, we are underlining our efforts in these areas in line with our Code of Conduct. We firmly believe that sustainable action is not only crucial for the environment and society, but also supports the long-term success of the company," says Karlheinz Wex, CEO of the Plansee Group.

Our goals within the framework of the UN Global Compact:

Environmental protection: the Plansee Group is committed to sustainable activities and measures to minimize its CO₂ footprint and use resources efficiently.
Protection of human rights: The Plansee Group is committed to protecting human rights, both within our organization and along our supply chain.
Improving working conditions: We ensure safe and fair working conditions that respect the dignity and rights of our employees.
Fighting corruption: Our company is committed to integrity and transparency in order to fight corruption in all its forms.
