PTMS specializes in
both electrolytic and electroless nickel and gold for electronic
applications. With three integrated lines including a highly
sophisticated, high volume, automated capability, PTMS is a
recognized leader in the plating of composite materials, electronic
packages and components. Setting PTMS apart from its competition is
its ability to do high volume electroless gold plating. Electroless
gold allows the designers of electronic circuits to allow for
isolated traces, thereby reducing the size and complexity of their
substrates. Electroless gold is also beneficial in getting into
cavities, holes, tubes and other areas typically not possible with
conventional electrolytic gold.
Whether high or low volume PTMS over the years has become an expert
in providing multiple plating processes and configurations on a
single part. Selective silver plating can be used instead of a
silver preform in certain ceramic substrate attachments. Selective
gold plating can be used when brazing a lid or other substrate to a
thermally enhanced composite material for a device. PTMS has
selectively plated thousands of parts in volume and prototype
applications.
